Give a little get a little, WAR Tumeroks is doing just that. Our good friends are hosting a wiki contest this Christmas. Win your chance at a 60 day time card or a leveling guide by simplying contributing your knowledge and expertise to the community. All it takes is 5 to 10 minutes, create an account with their wiki, and share some information on their pages and thats all it takes.

The contest will be held from December 1st until December 24th or until 500 participants have joined. Odds of winning are 1:33 or greater. The prizes include 10 60 day time cards and 5 copies of Ashlings leveling guide. Pretty fair prizes and chance of winning I’d say, but better hurry before all the spots are filled.

So I’ve finally got myself to 40. Through hard grinds and casual play only I have found that questing may not always be the best way to level. Public Quests were one of the worst ways to gain exp, at least for me. The best purpose of PQs are really for loot or because there’s already 10 other players working on it and its a good way sneak in for some quick exp.

AOE grinding was the best exp I got from level 20-40. Casual questing was just a filler when I do not have a group to AOE with. I played on destruction and our ideal setup was with a Zealot, Chosen and sometimes a Sorc. Zealot and Chosen works just fine, there are many spots that works well for grinding.

Alternatively, I spent alot of time in BG as well. The scenarios gives decent EXP as well as renown points. It’s almost like tacking down 2 bird with 1 stonem, EXP and RPs. However if you’re a slow killer or not in a good group it may be a downfall to do BGs. If you’re a healer type, make sure you’re in group with high sustained DPS classes to get the most out of your time.

The wiki will be moving to a new domain due to the lack of feedback I’ve look forward to receiving. The wiki can be found on http://war.tumeroks.com and will cover a much greater area than just a powerhouse of quests. I will keep the wiki here as it is for reference if anyone is still interested. The quest database in the new wiki won’t be up for another week as it will be a large wiki site dedicated to the entire game of Warhammer Online. For those who aren’t sure what a wiki is, it’s a community site in which anyone and everyone can edit to modify its contents. I look forward to seeing the wiki grow and meeting some of you great WAR fanatics.

Hey folks, just a thank you for visiting WAR Quest Guide. Hope you will find what you’re looking for although we know our database of quests is still very incomplete. We are hoping to have a fully written dedicated guide to questing and leveling very soon, at least once the database is incomplete. We are almost hitting the 200 mark on our list of quests.

We are currently getting over a 1000 visitors a day on this blog and half of them are on the wiki. I was hoping we can get some reviews and suggestions about our site or our wiki. Maybe some ideas on what you’re looking for or any comment you want to leave would be greatly appreciated and helpful to the development of this site. Enjoy your stay.

A listing of all known quests are being compiled on the wiki here that just went live today. I felt that a wordpress blog is very limiting on user contribution even with adsense revenue sharing. Along with that said, a wiki would work much better for a large database of quests rather than a blog. I still have alot more work to put into the wiki but any one feeling writing some notes or adding any info on it would be great. I currently have 50 quests logged with their lore but do not have any instructions setup yet but you can expect them coming very soon. A full database of quests should be completed within the end of this week… hopefully? At least with the lore and instructions on how to complete it, will not be listing the rewards, maps or detailed instructions anyime soon but you should be able to find what you need.

Warhammer Online quests will include elements of both PvE and PvP. Each quest is classified according to how much interaction with players of the opposite realm is involved; green for pure PvE quests, yellow for PvE quests which require players to enter RvR areas, or red for quests which require direct PvP action to complete.

Quests are further divided into five major types:

* Public quests
These are quests which take place in an area of the game world that anyone in that area can participate in. Upon entering a public quest area, players are notified of the current public quest and can then choose to participate if they wish. All participants are rewarded upon success according to how much effort they contributed to the quest.

* RvR quests
Also known as conflict quests, these are similar to public quests except for the fact that the opposing faction is simultaneously given a quest with a goal that contradicts yours. For example, with a quest involving wounded Dwarfs, Order players will be trying to heal them while at the same time Destruction players will be trying to kill them to collect trophies.

* Kill collector quests
The basic goal of this kind of quest is to kill mobs. Rewards, however, will be given out regardless of whether anyone asked you to go hunting or not. If your rampage was useful to someone, expect to be rewarded for it. It’s fair to say that for every mob in the game there will be a NPC somewhere offering a reward to players who kill them.

* Exploration quests
Also known as Christmas quests, these reward a player for being adventurous and exploring the Warhammer world, offering large rewards for relatively little effort.

* Tome quests
These refer to special quests you receive directly from the Tome of Knowledge, your in-game information resource. Few details have been released so far about exactly what these involve.

Location: The Blighted Isle, West of Adunei.

Rally Master: Kyrinn Silversea at Adunei, main plaza

Influence Rewards:
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: White boots or gloves.
-Elite: Green weapon or chestpiece.

Stage I: Slay 45 Corrupted Dryads. The small island is absolutely littered with these guys, simply kill 45 of them to move the Public Quest to the next stage. One side note, for those afraid of an empty PQ, each kill of these guys solo gives you 100 Influence points, so sometimes running a PQ solo can be beneficial.

Stage II: Release 4 Sacred Stones - 10 Minutes. Each one of these stones can be release by simply right-clicking on them. They are sitting in the middle of groups of 3 large corrupted treekin. This one will need at least two people to complete, because 1 out of every 3 treekin are CHAMPION mobs. Not exactly difficult, but very trying for a solo player as they come to life within moments of each other. All 4 stones are somewhat evenly spaced along the the center of the isle and are denoted by the rather large heaving treekin clustered around them..

Stage III: Slay Kharvena the Corrupter, Rank 4 HERO Sorceress - 10 Minutes. Once you’ve release the stones and killed the corrupted treekin, the Dark Elf woman responsible will be a bit peeved that you’ve interfered. Be wary of a hefty knockback ability she posesses, which doesn’t exactly have a signal for going off. Best bet? Stay back from her if you’re of the squishier variety. A solid group of 3 or 4 (including a tank and a healer) can take her down, but doing so in higher numbers will make it less hectic.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

* Lesser Loot Bag - Green Rank 4 or 5 Weapons
* White Loot Bag - White Rank 5 Boots
* Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
* Sallow Gall : Cultivation
* Clean Tin Watering Can: Cultivation
* Withered Peat : Cultivation
* Coins

Location: East of the Starting Area through the southern trails

Rally Master: Captain Talorith

Influence Rewards:
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: Boots or Belt
-Elite: Green Weapon

Stage I: Kill 30 Guards and Shades. These are single target mobs who can be found just about anywhere inside the complex. With a large number of participants, they die quickly and considering you have at least two quests which take you here anyway, it makes sense to stop and help. You can find a large concentration (6-8) over near the east side with the siege equipment.

Stage II: Protect Shining Guard Crewmen - 6 Minutes. High Elf reinforcements are trying to set up siege equipment but your groups will need to protect them from Dark Elves who rush from the northern building. They come in 3 waves about 6-10 single target creatures which are around level 4. It’s best to have everyone stand at the end of the bridge and wait for them. Once you’ve dropped them all, it’s time for the final battle.

Stage III: Kill Beastmaster Lorkoth and Scornlash - 10 Minutes. The last encounter comes across the same bridge as Stage II and consists of Beastmaster Lorkoth and Scornlash. Lorkoth is a fairly unassuming level 5 Dark Elf who can be killed fairly easily. Scornlash however is quite a different story and will be the centerpiece of the entire fight. This five headed dragonlike montrosity will take up most of your screen if you are a melee but doesn’t appear to exhibit any unusual traits. He is a “heroic” class meaning you’ll need at least one group of people to take him down. Killing him first is usually what most groups do, but a few have Lorkoth tanked at the same time. Once both are defeated the lootbox will drop at the foot of the bridge.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

* White Loot Bag - White Rank 3 Gloves
* Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
* Caked Blood: Cultivation
* Stained Watering Can: Cultivation
* Dry Soil: Cultivation
* Money

Raven Host Vanguard

Location: Just north of Grimmenhagen Village, at 30329, 43251

Rally Master: Eldred Krebs in Grimmenhagen Village

Influence Rewards:
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: Boots or Gloves
-Elite: Green Weapon or Armor Item

Stage I: Kill 25 Raven Host Marauders. These rank 2 mobs will run out from behind the Manor House to the haystacks in the fields.

Stage II: Protect Father Sigwald - 5 Minutes. Father Sigwald and a group of Peasants will stage themselves on the path west of the Manor House. From behind the building, waves of rank 2 Champions and their friends will come running. The goal is to keep Father Sigwald alive, so it is best to meet the enemies near the house as soon as they come out. Use AoEs to aggro as many of the mobs as possible; they will ignore you and run towards the friendly NPC group if you don’t interrupt them first. This stage will succeed if Father Sigwald is alive at the end of the 5 minutes, while his death will end the PQ immediately.

Stage III: Kill Argog the Unstoppable - 10 Minutes. From the treeline north of the path, a giant troll creature will come crashing through, pushing trees over to the ground. Argog will become attackable after stepping on Father Sigwald. You have 10 minutes to kill Argog, which is no easy task. He does have an AoE attack, so light armored classes should take care to stay ranged when able. Steady damage will take him down, and his loot chest will pop at his feet.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

* White Loot Bag - White Rank 3 Belt
* Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
* Caked Blood: Cultivation
* Stained Watering Can: Cultivation
* Dry Soil: Cultivation
* Coins
